Catalog & Product Setup

Demo catalog included in this store

The current VANTA demonstration store contains 20 active demo products in the VANTA Atelier Collection, covering sculpture, furniture, lighting and textiles. Demo items exist to exercise theme layouts and should be replaced before a production launch.

Recommended product data

  • Title and concise product description.
  • Vendor and Product type.
  • High-resolution primary image and additional media.
  • Variant options with descriptive names such as Size, Color, Material or Finish.
  • SKU and inventory tracking for production stores.
  • Compare-at price for sale presentation.
  • Accurate weight, shipping and tax data.

Images

Use Shopify-hosted media. For product cards, VANTA automatically serves responsive CDN image sizes. Keep image aspect ratios consistent within a collection for the most polished grid.

Variants

Use meaningful option names. Variant selection on the main product page is rendered from Shopify product data and re-renders the product section when option values change.

Size / Fit products

For the Fit Assistant, create a product option called Size or change the Fit Assistant block's option-name setting to match your catalog. Add the merchant's authoritative measurements in a collapsible block or app block.

Sale products

Set a variant Compare-at price greater than its selling price. VANTA displays the sale state using Shopify's actual price data.

Preorder products

Add the tag preorder or boolean metafield vanta.preorder. Make sure Shopify inventory and selling rules permit the intended purchase behavior.

Sold-out products

If a variant cannot be purchased, VANTA disables its purchase state. The optional Restock block can collect a shopper email through the Shopify contact system.

Gift cards

VANTA supports the Shopify gift-card product and redemption template, recipient information, QR code output, print action and Apple Wallet link when Shopify exposes it.

Collections

Create focused collections and configure filters with Search & Discovery. Avoid loading very large numbers of products per page; VANTA defaults to 16 items on collection/search pages to balance merchandising and performance.

Demo-data warning

Demo product names, descriptions, prices and images are presentation content, not supplier inventory. Replace them before selling a real catalog.
