Apps & Integrations

VANTA is deliberately app-friendly but does not require a large stack. Install only services that add a backend capability Shopify or the theme cannot provide on its own.

Recommended Shopify apps/services

  • Shopify Search & Discovery: recommended for filter configuration, search behavior and complementary/related product merchandising.
  • Shopify Bundles: recommended when merchants need backend-managed bundle components and inventory.
  • Translate & Adapt: recommended for merchants publishing multiple languages through Shopify Markets.
  • Shopify Forms: optional for advanced lead capture beyond the theme newsletter/contact forms.
  • Shopify Inbox: optional for live chat/customer messaging.

Reviews, loyalty and referrals

Use Shopify app blocks rather than hard-coding third-party scripts. VANTA main product and Featured Product sections expose app blocks, and the universal VANTA App Zone can host app content elsewhere in the theme.

Visual search

A genuine visual-search service needs image processing/search infrastructure. VANTA provides integration surfaces but does not falsely label a local browser upload as AI visual search.

Account-synced wishlist

The native VANTA wishlist is device-local. To synchronize lists across devices/accounts, install a wishlist service and add it through an app block or App Zone.

Back-in-stock automation

VANTA includes a restock-request form. Automated subscriber lists, stock-change triggers and outbound notifications require a dedicated app/backend.

Performance rule for apps

Every installed app can affect storefront JavaScript, CSS and network requests. After enabling an app embed, retest Lighthouse and interaction responsiveness. Remove unused embeds and avoid installing overlapping apps for features VANTA already provides.

Installation note

Third-party or Shopify apps can require merchant authorization in Shopify Admin. The theme cannot silently grant permissions on behalf of the store owner.
