VANTA Commerce OS

VANTA Commerce OS is the theme's built-in commerce layer. It is designed to replace lightweight front-end apps where Shopify itself already supplies the required commerce backend.

Predictive Search

The header search surfaces products, collections, pages and articles. Search results remain Shopify-native and use the theme's accessible dialog UI.

Collection and Search Filtering

Collection and search pages render Shopify Storefront Filters. VANTA progressively enhances filter changes with section-scoped AJAX requests, history updates and request cancellation so rapid filter changes do not queue unnecessary page loads.

Wishlist

Built-in wishlist data is stored locally in the shopper's browser. This is zero-setup and private to that device. Account-synced wishlists require an app or custom backend.

Product Compare

Compare supports 2–4 products according to Theme settings. Selections are stored locally. The compare dialog can show image, title, price, vendor, product type, availability and options.

Quick View

Product cards can open product detail in a lightweight dialog without navigating away from the collection.

Recently Viewed

Recently viewed products are stored locally and rendered without a third-party tracking service.

Cart Intelligence

  • AJAX add to cart and cart drawer.
  • Quantity increase/decrease and removal.
  • Free-shipping progress target controlled in Theme settings.
  • Discount allocations on the cart page.
  • Order note.
  • Accelerated checkout where Shopify supports it.

Complete the Set / Bundles

The product bundle block can add the current variant and selected companion products in one Shopify Ajax Cart request. For true bundle pricing, component inventory and mix-and-match logic, configure Shopify Bundles, Shopify Functions or another compatible backend. VANTA intentionally does not simulate inventory logic in the browser.

Fit Assistant

The built-in assistant reads a configurable product option name, normally Size, then provides a simple rule-based recommendation from the shopper's usual size and fit preference. It is not an AI body-measurement service and does not replace an accurate size chart.

Preorder Presentation

Add the product tag preorder or set metafield vanta.preorder to true. VANTA changes the purchase label and adds a preorder line-item property. Payment capture, inventory policy and delivery promises must still be configured in Shopify or a preorder app.

Restock Request

When a product is unavailable, the Restock block can display a contact form that sends a restock request to the store. Automated subscription-based restock campaigns require a notification app.

Subscriptions and Pickup

VANTA is compatible with Shopify selling plans, local pickup availability and Shop Pay/payment terms when those features are configured in the merchant account.
